Facial image / selfie, used exclusively for facial recognition to identify you in event photographs

Biometric data processing
Your facial image is processed by AWS Rekognition (Amazon Web Services) solely to identify you in event photographs. We do not sell or share your biometric data with third parties. Biometric data requires your explicit informed consent prior to collection, which you provide during the opt-in flow.
International data transfers
Your data is processed by service providers located outside Mexico, requiring your express consent under Article 36 of the LFPDPPP:
Facial recognition (Rekognition) and photo storage (S3) — United States
Secure data storage and authentication — United States
Both providers operate under confidentiality agreements and comply with applicable data protection standards.

Data deletion & retention
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app under Profile → Delete my account, or by contacting privacy@ecgn.mx. Deletion removes your profile, selfie, biometric data, and your association with event galleries. Event photographs remain for organizers but no longer appear in your personal gallery.
We retain your data while your account is active. Biometric data is deleted when you delete your account or request its cancellation.
